get the 40d… its an awesome camera.. works great.. controls arent to bad to learn {its a bit different than teh xt, which was my first DSLR} BUT it works great

I agree...geta 40D or if budget is an issue, maybe pick up a used 30D.

I’d keep the 1D and suplement it with an XTi or better yet, a 40D…. the 1D is sealed and great for days out in weather…

Opinions about Professional Digital cameras for stock photography.?
I currently have a Canon 1D professional Digital but it was canons first Pro Digital and only has 4.1 megapixels. Stock photography is moving towards only allowing a minimum of 5-6 mp a picture. My question is do you think i should sell the 1D and go to something like a Rebel XTi with 10mp or 30D with 8 mp for stock photography?
